Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller part. It was difficult for her to transition to acting as models were not considered as an actor, so they generally were offered smaller parts. However, Amy was determined to keep going and transitioned to bigger roles eventually starting with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast part in the leading role of the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her efforts throughout the previous 10 years. She continued to do significant films, like Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved recurring part of the cast.
