Maria Brink

 Maria Brink (born December 18, 1977) is an American artist and singer popular as the frontwoman of the group In This Moment. In This Moment has gone to release seven studio albums and receive four nominations, two from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from the Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been recognized as "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in 2010and was named one of 11 women from heavy metal who count by Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the Top 25 Hot Chicks in Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at 25 to join an act. Before that she worked in the retail industry and performed in coffee shops and bars. In 2004, she met now-band member Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth disapproved of Brink because she was a woman. Then, two weeks later Howorth apologized and hired Brink as the lead singer. They were formed Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as their drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the group as guitarists. The group was later renamed In This Moment.
